Membership at Heidelberg Golf Club is fully subscribed.


This serves as a guideline to the procedure involved in applying for membership at Heidelberg Golf Club, and includes some of the more frequently asked questions we receive about applications.

  • Please note that applications are processed strictly in chronological order of their submission dates only. Neither Management nor Committee members have authority to speed up new applications.
  • Applicants are accepted once a space has become available in the category they apply for, to avoid over-subscription. Therefore, the time it takes from application to acceptance is not finite.
  • New applicants are required to attend an interview with a Committee member before their form can be processed. At present, all interviews are postponed until the waiting list reduces. The membership secretary will notify you when your meeting is scheduled for, and with whom.
  • Your application form will then be posted onto the main notice board for a period of no less than 14 days for supporting signatures (space for these is to be found at the bottom of your application form and must be left blank for this purpose). Following this, your application is put before the Main Committee at their monthly meeting, and finally, it is posted onto the waiting list (reviewed every month) behind previous successful applicants.
  • As was mentioned above, the time it takes to move up the waiting list is solely dependent on the movement of present members in and out of categories and cannot be guessed. Our financial year runs from the 1st September to the 31st August and we find that movement increases during this period and extending into December.


  • FILLING IN THE APPLICATION FORM

  • Both a proposer and seconder are required in order to complete the application form. (Except in the case of Prentice membership). These must be present members of the club of at least 2 consecutive years' standing, and must be personally known to you.
  • Should you not know any present members of the club, it is required that you submit 2 letters of reference in their place. These should preferably come from another golf or sports club that you are a member of.
  • Included in the annual subscription amount for each category is a compulsory pre-paid golf amount. This serves as your green fee payments for the year and you may play as often as you like for this amount, without having to pay your green fees when you arrive for your game.


  • SUBMITTING YOUR APPLICATION FORM

    You are welcome to post, fax or personally deliver your application form, which can either be printed from the link above, or requested from our Reception. Heidelberg Golf Club does not charge an application or administration fee for processing your application. You will only be required to pay your annual subscriptions when you are officially accepted as a member of the club.
